DESCRIPTION OF 316 STAINLESS STEEL ANGLE
316 Stainless Steel Angle is an austenitic chromium nickel angle shape containing molybdenum which provides superior corrosion resistance and increased strength at elevated temperatures when compared to 304 Stainless. Widely known as a food grade stainless or marine grade, 316 Stainless is ideally suited for corrosion resistance against a wide range of chemical and acidic corrodents, and marine environment applications. Typical uses of 316 Stainless include food production, pharmaceutical equipment, furnace parts, heat exchangers, valves and pumps, chemical equipment, and parts for marine use. Primarily offered in a lower carbon, dual grade 316/316L for increased machinability and added corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures.
Sunning Steel Limited round trim tubes in 304 and 316/316l in some standard sizes are ideal for structural and architectural applications such as stainless Steel handrails. Round tube with standard finish, 180 particle size (no. 4 polishing), 240 particle size, 320 particle size and no. 8 mirror polishing. Additional stainless steel topcoats are available and can be matched to customer samples.

316 grade stainless steel has a molybdenum grade, so it has higher corrosion resistance than 304 grade. It is recommended that all stainless steel components be stored, processed and assembled so that they do not come into contact with residues, dust or tools previously used for processing common iron/carbon steel products.
